Dr. Vikaskumar Patel
Dr. Patel is passionate about dentistry and enjoys building relationships with his patients while providing both comfort and the highest quality of personalized lifetime care. To this end, he subscribes to a philosophy of lifetime learning, and continuously hones his skills by engaging in hundreds of hours of continuing education in a variety of relevant dental topics.
A member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), Dr. Patel also received the prestigious Fellow of International Congress of Implantologists award for implant dentistry in 2019.
Dr. Patel
Dr. Patel began his dental practice in India, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Rajiv Gandhi University. He also taught at the Dental College, before moving to the United States in 2008.
After arriving in the US, he attended Monroe College and then NYU to complete his MBA and DDS, respectively. While attending University, he was an active member of the student body, and served as President of the Advanced Placement Student Dental Association. Dr. Patel was top ranked in his class,and received the prestigious Sigma Beta Delta Award. As a member of the honors program, he was involved in many research projects with a broad reach. Notably, he received the Margaret E. Mahoney Fellowship from the New York Academy of Medicine for his research investigating the effectiveness of federally qualified health centers in providing dental services to underserved communities. In 2012, the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) also awarded him a grant for his research involving endodontic materials. He has published various articles and research works in several prestigious dental journals.
